Ford debuts new Mobility One float as America's Thanksgiving Parade brings communities together

DETROIT, Nov. 24, 2016 — Ford Motor Company — the driving force behind America’s Thanksgiving Parade®— today rolled out its new Mobility One float as part of the parade’s 90th anniversary celebration.  Mobility One is more than 90 feet long and features a timeline view of the company’s rich history of innovation. The float was pulled by a new Ford F-Series Super Duty truck, one of more than 40 Ford vehicles leading the festivities through downtown Detroit. Eight-time Olympic swimming medalist Allison Schmitt, a native of Canton, Michigan, rode on the float, while dozens of Ford Volunteer Corps members walked alongside. Ford’s investment in the parade is part of its broad commitment to supporting events that bring communities together.
