Ford Giving America Chance to Relive Road Trip Memories – and Make New Ones in an All-New 2020 Explorer

DETROIT, Jan. 11, 2019 – While introducing the world to its all-new 2020 Ford Explorer this week, Ford also presented fans with a chance to see America – and relive one of their most-memorable road trips.

Jim Farley, president, global markets, told the crowd gathered at Ford Field and watching it live online about the company’s plans to spend the next few months collecting fans’ favorite road trip stories on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook using hashtags #RoadTripRewind and #ExploreOurAmerica.

This summer Ford will select the best submissions and look to recreate people’s most-memorable road trips, but this time behind the wheel of an all-new Explorer.

The evening in Detroit – which included a powerful message from filmmaker and activist Prince EA – echoed Ford’s recent call for people to devote more time to family and friends, to start taking all of their allocated vacation days and to rekindle their spark of exploration.

#RoadTripRewind reinforces that sentiment.
