Red Bull Ford Academy Programme Extends Title Partnership with Ford

  • Red Bull Academy Programme continues its partnership with Ford for F1 Academy, the all-female racing series set up by Formula One in 2023
  • American Chloe Chambers to join as Red Bull Ford Academy Programme driver for the 2025 season
  • Announcement builds on existing title partnership with Ford, which started in 2024

The Red Bull Academy Programme and Ford Motor Company are proud to announce that they are extending the title partnership of the Red Bull Ford Academy Programme for the 2025 season. The continued alliance further demonstrates Ford’s long supported commitment to attracting more diversity across its motorsport’s portfolio alongside wider initiatives that support diversity and inclusion. Ford branding will continue to feature heavily on the car and driver suits and apparel.

Joining the Team for the 2025 F1 Academy season is driver Chloe Chambers, who brings with her a wealth of experience, having previously raced in single-seaters in USA F4 and W Series, and is currently driving in F1 Academy with Haas and Campos Racing. Chambers hails from the US, making her the perfect fit to be teaming up with American icon, Ford Motor Company.

Ford has been racing since the company’s inception and continues to expand its presence in a diverse portfolio of series around the world from Le Mans to Dakar and from Daytona to Bathurst. Ford is also partnering with Oracle Red Bull Racing as it works towards the brand’s return to F1 in 2026 with Red Bull Ford Powertrains.  The Red Bull Academy Programme is focused on progression and development of young and new female talent and this partnership demonstrates a unified mission to not only support females in motorsport but to also provide additional racing opportunities for drivers.

Ford Performance is committed to working with the FIA and race promoters to find ways to integrate more female talent into all levels of motorsport, both on and off the track. As a demonstration of this, Chambers will be driving in the final round of IMSA Mustang Challenge 2024 - which will take place at the SRO Indianapolis 8 Hour Presented by AWS. The Mustang Challenge sees drivers up to FIA silver ratings compete on a level playing field against other Mustang Dark Horse R cars.

In the F1 Academy series drivers can only participate in the series for two years before stepping in to their next phase. The Red Bull Ford Academy Programme Team would like to thank current driver Emely de Heus for her commitment and hard work over the 2024 season and for her overall contribution to the programme.

Christian Horner, CEO & Team Principal of Oracle Red Bull Racing said: “Continuing our partnership with Ford as a title sponsor of the Red Bull Academy Programme is hugely exciting and further cements their commitment to female participation in motorsports. Everyone at the Team is looking forward to welcoming Chloe to the Red Bull family where she is a key part of our line-up for the 2025 F1 Academy season. Welcoming an American driver that has previously been linked to Ford, marks an exciting progression in our partnership with Ford Performance. Red Bull and Ford share common values and are united in providing more opportunities for young and emerging talent in motorsports, and we can’t wait to see Chloe hit the track in Red Bull Ford colours in 2025.”

Mark Rushbrook, Global Director of Ford Performance Motorsport said: “It’s so great to welcome Chloe to the Ford family as she joins the Red Bull Ford Academy Programme. Chloe is not only a real racing talent but also has the ability to race in different series and to see her lining up in the Mustang Challenge in our Dark Horse R is really cool. To have an American driver representing an iconic American brand is the perfect scenario for us and we are excited for all that 2025 will hold. This partnership is also part of a much larger relationship that we now enjoy with Red Bull across many race series and our partnership is getting stronger all the time.”

Chloe Chambers said: “I am thrilled to be driving for the Red Bull Ford Academy Programme for the upcoming 2025 season. As an American driver, it is an honour to team up with an iconic American automotive company like Ford. It is a privilege to be partnering with the Red Bull Ford Academy Programme to continue improving female representation in the sport, and I am grateful for the support to achieve my own career goals in motorsport. I am excited to take part in the Ford Mustang Challenge this week and to have more opportunities to race outside of my role in F1 Academy. My focus for the rest of the year remains on delivering performance with Haas, but I’m looking forward to the next chapter in 2025 with the Red Bull Ford Academy Programme.”
