Just in time for Thanksgiving, San Antonio resident Tim Kingsbury will be the first buyer in the U.S. to receive Ford’s smartest, toughest and most capable F-150 ever during a ceremony Wednesday. An avid hunter and retired high school football coach, Kingsbury is the father of current Texas Tech Red Raiders football coach, Kliff Kingsbury.
Using a military-grade aluminum for strength, and weighing up to 700 pounds less than current models, the all-new F-150 is 5 percent to 29 percent more fuel efficient than current F-150 models, depending on engine and driveline configuration on the combined cycle (city and highway).
The 2015 Ford F-150 is the winner of Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com Best Buy awards – earning both Overall Best Buy and Truck Best Buy prizes.
Popular Science selected the 2015 F-150 as its “Grand Winner” in the automotive category of the magazine’s 2014 “Best of What’s New” honors. More information about the 2015 F-150 can be found at https://media.ford.com.
